The News:

Ever sense the new AltaVista came out, Web Masters have experienced hell with losing their sites. Web Masters in search Engine forms have reported that all of their pages in AltaVista’s index have been dropped. I’ve looked around AltaVista to see if the scrutiny they have been receiving was justified or just hype from search engine spammers. What I found was that the Web Masters complains are more than valid. In some of my searches I would receive forum posts, which in my opinion don’t even belong in a search engines index. Not only were they in the top ten, they were often the only thing that you could find in the top ten.

Another problem with the new AltaVista, is the fact that their index seems to old. The pages that are ranked on top, are quit often out dated.

I could go into more detail and I know that this isn’t very good coverage of an issue, but I am really busy right now trying to get this site up to pare. Check out AltiVista and you will see how wacky it has become.
